Welcome to Southern Cross Cycle Club
Thank you for joining Southern Cross Cycle Club. As a new member of the club, we’d like to provide you with some important information to help you settle in. Talk to one of the Committee members if you ever have any questions about Club or NSW Cycling activities.
Sundays – Masters grade C and D start at 8am, Masters grade A and B start at 8.30am, Juniors start at 9.15am
Turn up early to sign on and warm up.
Waratah Park cycling track, Rawson Avenue (old Princes Highway), Sutherland
A bike, helmet that meets Australian Standards (AS 2063), drink and lots of enthusiasm
A cycling licence is required and we can help you with this. There is a special licence for children under 12 years old.
A canteen with fruit, noodles, lollies, and hot/cold drinks is available.
New and second hand cycling gear is available to purchase at the canteen.
Running the races involves lots of people and we encourage and welcome everyone to pitch in and help wherever they can. Talk to one of the race committee or canteen helpers if you can lend a hand.

New and second hand uniforms are available to purchase at the Canteen
Used bikes may be available to hire – ask at the Canteen
The club has numerous coaches that adapt training schedules based on demand.
Check Club website and newsletter for other training opportunities.

Waratah Park, Sutherland 4.30-5.30pm (not for beginners – confirm with Jenny Triggs)
Thursdays – Advanced Juniors.

8 week SXCC Rising Stars course
Will run on demand
SXCC Rising Stars is an six-week skill based course that includes fun cycling activities and covers fundamental safe cycling issues and basic skill development. To join the program you will need to register and commit to the full six weeks.
The next course will be arranged when we have sufficient numbers for a session. Please contact Brian Peters or Jenny Triggs to register your expression of interest.
